After about 3 years of not playing Battlefield Vietnam, I finally fired it back up last night. I have been itching to play BFV for a long time now, but I just could not find my 3rd installation CD. I looked everywhere!

I sat at my PC in disappointment thinking that I will not ever be able to play one of the best online games ever made…ever again. Just for the hell of it, I decided to stick CD #1 in my drive. OMG! Battlefield Vietnam fired right up!

There I was…at the menu screen in complete shock. My settings and controls were
set exactly how I left them. I was already updated to the last released patch. Heck, even the last screen name that I used was still there.

I immediately called up Buckshot and after wrestling with punkbuster, we got on an empty server. Man, that brought back so many memories! All the time that we used to waste and play this game…nothing but fun. Driving around blasting Vietnam war era music and trying to get back into the seat of a Huey…it was all coming back to me.

Before I could get familiar with everything, some asshole comes online. From that time until we quit, it was horrible. He made sure that he pissed us off with his "heli-whoring" and spawn camping.

Accusing me of being gay and a noob, the redneck pushed and pushed for constant harassment. I usually don’t let low-lifes get to me like that, but I felt my face getting hot. I was trying to type back and take cover at the same time. This made it more frustrating. I would hide in a place where I was 100% sure that he couldn’t find me and somehow, he always did. Not sure if the dildo was hacking or what.

After about 30 minutes of this, Buckshot brought it to my attention that I should stop giving him what he wants. {sidebar id=1}Yep, I was feeding him. He would smart off and I would come back with something else…real mature right?

Soon after that, he changed his name and revealed who he was as well as what clan he was representing. You little bastard. I wish that I could remember what it was so that I can point him out.

Sometimes I think this is the reason why I quit playing BFV…but I will be on tonight at 6:30 pm sharp to give it another shot. :)

Another vacation starts in about 30 minutes for me! I will be off of work until the 9th…yes, 5 whole days off in a row!

Tomorrow, we plan to carry out the tradition on blowing things up so there will be some cool photos and videos coming up within a few days. They are calling for rain…but hopefully things will hold out until we are done.
