Rumor has it that Michael Jackson will be making a surprise appearance at this year’s Super Bowl this Sunday. The performance would come on the eve of the release of the 25th anniversary edition of ?Thriller?.
I don’t believe this fully because the official Super Bowl website says that Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers are supposed to be performing.
I bet all it is a commercial. I have already read somewhere that he is current promoting a new vitamin laced Pepsi drink.
" Michael Jackson hopes to stage a Thriller comeback at American football’s Super Bowl next weekend.
As part of marketing for the 25th anniversary of the classic album, a TV advert for a vitamin-enhanced drink from Pepsi will be broadcast with a Thriller theme during the big game next Sunday.
A memo from Jacko’s former label Sony confirms his TV spot with a major Pepsi advertising campaign taking place in the following week.
There are also plans for Jackson, 49, to appear at next month’s Grammy Awards with hip hop artists Fergie, will.i.am and Akon, who will join him on remixed or new versions of Thriller tracks. "

Although Michael Jackson is 49 and a little on the creepy side, I think that it would be good to hear some new songs.

Apparently, some hillbilly was out fishing and got his prized lure caught on the main internet cable. Not really, but the disruption has been linked to a ship’s anchor damaging the cable which knocked out a ton of users and businesses that depend on the internet.
This is actually a scary thought because what if it happened to the US. My whole carreer and past time depends on the internet. Could you imagine if we didn’t have internet for awhile?! No Xbox 360, no WebTurd.com…no nothing!
" India and countries across the Middle East experienced slow Internet connections and disruption to international calls to the U.S. and Europe after two submarine cable systems in the Mediterranean Sea were cut yesterday.
Repairs to the break, which may have been caused by a ship’s anchor near Alexandria, northern Egypt, will start on Feb. 4, a spokesman for Flag Telecom Group Ltd., which operates one of the cables, said by phone from Mumbai today. Customers are being provided with alternatives through other cables, he said.
The cable breaks have cut capacity by more than half for some Web access and telephones companies in the affected regions. They carry 70 percent of voice traffic to the West, according to Orascom Telecom Holding SAE, the biggest mobile-phone company in the Middle East and North Africa. Stock trading in Egypt and phone calls from as far away as the U.S. have been disrupted. "

Theaters showing Cloverfield are posting warnings of possible motion sickness.
I still have not seen Cloverfield, but the sneek peak that I saw the other day reminded be of the Blair Witch Project movie. The reason for this is because of the camera techniques used. It was just like a person that drank to much caffeine had a camera mounted on their head.
Apparently the whole movie is like this and its making viewers sick. Sick enought to bail out and not finish the movie.
" One blogger on the popular movie database IMDB.com said, “I had to get up and leave the theater for nearly 20 minutes just to keep from hurling.” Other moviegoers have reported being nauseated and dizzy.
Most viewers are unaffected by the film, but for those who are, experts say the problem is in their heads.
“This is a classic case of vertigo,” said Dr. Michael G. Stewart, chairman of otorhinolaryngology (ear, nose and throat medicine) at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weil Cornell Medical Center. “You can look around and feel like things are moving, when they aren’t.”
Vertigo is caused when a person’s balance system gets confused. Your body feels a strong visual sensation of movement but in reality, you aren’t moving at all. The disconnect confuses your brain sensors and can cause dizziness and nausea, Stewart said. "

According to IGN, Battlefield Bad Company’s release date is being pushed back.
" Looks like fans will have to wait a little bit longer to be part of Battlefield: Bad Company. The upcoming title, which focuses on a squad of renegade soldiers who are seeking gold and revenge behind enemy lines was originally scheduled to be released in March. However, according to a recent email sent out by Electronic Arts, the DICE FPS has slipped from its early 2008 ship date to a general 2008 release date. We contacted Electronic Arts but were not able to receive a comment as to why the game had been pushed back. We’ll make sure to keep everyone informed as soon as we find out when the game has a firm date. "

Looks like Ol’ Dirty Bush is coughing up some money! Sometime this June or July, we all should be getting our rebate checks to blow on booze and cigarettes.
" The rebates, which would go to about 116 million families, had
appeal for both Democrats and Republicans. Pelosi’s staff noted that
they would include $28 billion in checks to 35 million working families
who wouldn’t have been helped by Bush’s original proposal. Republicans,
for their part, were pleased that the bulk of the rebates ? more than
70 percent, according to an analysis by Congress’ Joint Tax Committee ?
would go to individuals who pay taxes.
Individuals who pay income taxes would get up to $600, working
couples $1,200 and those with children an additional $300 per child
under the agreement. Workers who make at least $3,000 but don’t pay
taxes would get $300 rebates.
The rebates, expected to go out in June, would cost about $100
billion, aides said. The package also includes close to $50 billion in
business tax cuts. "

The lastest Rockstar Propaganda came in and it says April 29, 2008 for Grand Theft Auto IV release date. Whoo Hoo!
" Grand Theft Auto IV takes place in a redesigned Liberty City consisting of five boroughs; four of the boroughs of New York City and New Jersey. Broker is the equivalent of Brooklyn, Queens is Dukes, the Bronx is Bohan, Manhattan is Algonquin, and New Jersey is Alderney (after the Channel Island of the same name). A Staten Island-esque area will not be featured in the game for the reason that Rockstar Games believes it would not be fun to play there. Dan Houser states that there would not be any “dead spots” or “irrelevant space” within Liberty City such as the wide open deserts in “Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas”.
The total area of the map is smaller than Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, but the new rendition of Liberty City will be far more detailed and is the largest individual city in the Grand Theft Auto series. According to the Official PlayStation 2 Magazine (UK edition), “to get from one side of the new and improved Liberty City to the other will take you at least an hour.” Rockstar Games has stated that it is the biggest single city in a Grand Theft Auto game, yet, and although smaller than “San Andreas”, it is comparable to it in terms of scope when “the level of verticality of the city, the number of buildings you can go into, and the level of detail in those buildings” are taken into account. Furthermore, developers are still deciding whether bridges will be used to cordon off certain areas, by way of blocking access to cross them. Eventually the player will be able to lead Niko to cross the Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Williamsburg bridges and explore.
Screenshots reveal that the Brighton Beach area is renamed as “Hove Beach” from Brighton and Hove, the English city from which the area gets its name. The game’s equivalent of the Statue of Liberty is called the “Statue of Happiness”, Times Square is called “Star Junction”, and DUMBO (Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass) is known as “BOABO” (Beneath the Offramp of the Algonquin Bridge Overpass). There is a building called “Twitchins” which is the game’s version of Brooklyn’s Domino Sugar Factory. Dan Houser has also confirmed that an area resembling Central Park will be in the game, called Middle Park. "
