Halloween 2008 Wrap Up

Halloween 2008 is now officially over.

My daughter has been waiting for trick-or-treat night forever and she finally got a chance to go out and collect some candy.

We were lucky to have such nice weather on Halloween as it was a comfortable 70 degrees during the day and only got down to 50 or so. The only problem is that our neighborhood is usually busy with all kinds of little ghouls and goblins, but this year, it was pretty quiet. There are usually a few houses around that provide some competition with decorations and suprises…but they where rather dry this year.

I personally think we had the best house on the block. The infamous leaf blower with a loud plastic bag on the end, caused a few people to jump because they were already timid from the creepy decorations.

We went around the block for a quick run and because it was so dead, we ended up hitting up main street for some more candy. Halloween on main street was like New York City with tons of people bumping into each other and going in all different ways.

I’m happy that my daughter finally got to experience the thrill of trick-or-treating on her own two little legs. Next year should be better as she will know what exactly what to do.
