Just a quick reminder not to miss tonight’s Man vs Wild. This time around, Will Ferrel will be pairing up with Bear Grylls on a wild adventure…its gotta be funny.
“ The funnyman will appear on the show Tuesday night (10 pm, Discovery Channel) in a cross-promotional stunt for his new movie, Land of the Lost. The show features Ferrell and host Bear Grylls during 48 hours in the subzero temperatures of the north Sweden wilderness.
In the episode, Ferrell is lowered into the wilderness by rope from a helicopter before hiking with makeshift snowshoes through waist-high snow. He then spends the night with Grylls in a cave, dining on grilled reindeer eyeballs from the head of a carcass. “ – source: http://www.seattlepi.com/tvguide/406793_tvgif2.html
I sent over Justin some photos of this weekend’s storm for his Indiana Weather Blog and wrote a quick little blurb about them.
Here are a couple of pics of this past weekend’s weather in Monticello. I had no idea that something was coming until I heard the EAS pop on tv. I went straight to my computer to check out the radar…where did that come from?!
Being the weirdos that we are, my friend and I sat outside and watched the clouds roll in (shown in the first pic). It was really strange there was a constant rolling thunder. I don’t ever recall hearing rolling thunder last so long…it must have went on for a good 20 minutes or so.
I went back inside to check the radar and the heaviest was almost right on top of Monticello. I grabbed my camera again and headed back out. The rain started lightly for about 2-3 minutes and then the sky turned blue. It was like we were in the eye of the storm. lol.
Shortly after that, the wind started to pick up a little. Then all of a sudden, WHOSH! The wind blew in real hard and the rain started up again. The rain really started to pick up and forced us to take some shelter flat against the wall under what little overhang my house has on it.
I was looking at the ground and noticed little tiny pieces of hail bouncing upwards. I said, “wow, it’s starting to hail” and all of a sudden here comes another gust of wind and the hail start coming down…I mean really coming down! It was pinging and binging off of everything including my legs and newly soaked socks. I think the biggest that it got was pea-sized…the larger peas. :)
So we just stood there like crazy hillbillies looking for something to do until it passed us by. I know that it wasn’t the coolest thing to do by standing outside, but it was such an adrenaline rush!

The following is a rumor for this year’s E3. Yeah its kind of cool but this is one of the main reasons why I gave up the Wii. When I game, I just want to sit back and relax…not waving my arms around, etc. I am still feeling the pain from playing Zelda in the Wii.
“ A man claiming to be a well-placed gaming journalist has been leaking Microsoft rumors via his twitter account. The journalist, who goes by “Game Fork” on twitter, has an awful lot of information about Microsoft’s E3 line-up, and what he says seems to gel with what we’ve already heard confirmed. We won’t know if “Game Fork” is on the level until E3, but we’ve got his whole list of rumors here, to keep you up on the latest E3 info.
Officially, Microsoft won’t confirm or deny any of this. Personally, this all smells pretty real to me. Nothing Game Fork’s told us sounds particularly outlandish, and much of it is perfectly in line with what we already know. The only thing here that sounds somewhat iffy is the MGS4 port, but that still has months of rumors behind it. “
