This morning, I noticed that the latest craze is now ” Bradying “. Another sweet pose or meme also known as the “The Poor Man’s Tebowing”.
This Bradying trend has inspired me to draw a vector cartoon of a fat guy bradying for submission (I hope they accept cartoons). I realize that his hands are supposed to be together but they are too short and fat. Also, I have this is ai & pdf format so holler if you want a copy. First person to ask can have exclusive rights!
” Bradying is a photo fad that involves taking pictures of oneself sitting on the floor with the head lowered and hands clasped between the legs. The pose was inspired by a photograph of NFL player Tom Brady on the football field following his team’s loss against the New York Giants at the Super Bowl XLVI. ” - http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/bradying
There is this cool effect called “Dragan Effect” derived from Polish photographer, Andrzej Dragan that I’ve been intrigued with lately. This photography effect is mainly used in portraits and provides for a creative, gritty, sharp HDR-styled photograph.
I realize that it is nothing new but seeing it on TV recently with a Gold Rush show promo and the upcoming season of Swamp People sparked my interest.
I thought it would be cool to apply the effect to some of my photography in the near future to change things up a little.
There are a few tutorials out there on the web but just I wanted to find a quick Dragan effect photoshop action that I could get the same results out of.
After searching for a whole 30 seconds, I came across this Dragan effect photoshop action. Don’t let the examples on that page fool you, it works quite well.
Check out my demo below for default before and after results including a black and white version. A much crispier, higher resolution photo gives better results.
* Webturd Bonus: The creepy song in the Swamp People promo is ” Didn’t Leave Nobody But The Baby ” by Emmylou Harris, Alison Krauss and Gillian Welch. Add that to your trouble-sleeping-at-3am-witching-hour playlist: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SjVZB34ibNo
For a few weeks now, I’ve been starting to use my Google Plus account more to share my Mobile Nations comics as they get published. I’ve also been noticing that some people are referencing their friends or people in their circles with a clickable link that goes directly to their profiles. Up until today, I didn’t know how to link to Google Plus accounts in a Google Plus post.
I just found out and here is a tip to mention a friend’s name in google plus post. Are you ready? Here’s how you can link to a user’s Google Plus profile:
While making a post on Google Plus, simply hit the plus key on your keyboard and start typing out the person’s name. As you type, name suggestions will come up. Pick the person that you want to link to and you are good to go.
Have you seen the new Google menu bar and it was gone the next day? The new Google drop-down menu has disappeared? Is the new Google tool bar on one computer but not the other?
Forget about editing your cookies and trying to make a Franken-Browser for it to work. Here are 3 quick and easy steps to get the new Google bar back.
For Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Internet Explorer 8+
Just spotted this and tested…works like a charm with my EVO 4G! If you are going to try it, hurry because from what I can tell, you only have until December 31st 2011.
Box and it’s cloud storage service is apparently running some sort of free 50GB upgrade for owners of the Sony Xperia Play and various LG phones through the end of the year (yep, just 3 days left). Why we aren’t see it for every Android phone is beyond me, but Sony and LG likely struck some sort of deal to make their devices look more appealing. If you don’t own either though, you can get the 50GB thanks to a handy little app created by developer redphx. Previous attempts to get devices the free space were limited to rooted phones and forced you to edit your build.prop, but this new app allows you to get it by simply signing into your Box account.
