GTA IV Trailer 2
Rockstar promised the second trailer for Grand Theft Auto IV would debut today and they came through like a champ. The second trailer gets us deeper into the head of Niko…hinting at many possible plot details. The presence of Niko’s brother was already known, but a shouting police officer near the end of the trailer may have been Niko’s cousin. A crying blond woman, who could very well be a relative as well, begs Niko to stop all the killing.
Also, it seems as though Rockstar may be focusing on the indoor environments a bit more with GTA IV. Niko is seen kicking in the door of a building and searching for someone. Whether this missing person is related to the theme of familial ties or not is still unknown, but this definitely translates into a more realistic, grittier experience.
Rockstar has commented recently that they are making attempts to create a more down-to-earth GTA this time around. No longer will you be doing a plethora of side-missions for meager cash when you have a few hundred thousand dollars sitting in the bank. Stealing cars will mean smashing windows and rewiring ignitions. This bold new addition to the series is set to release before Christmas.
