Hi there. I’m an idiot.

DuhFollowing up to my previous post regarding the new Comcast Caller ID, I tried to use it on my pc but needed to know the primary account login details.  I know that it was short and simple but I could not remember for the life of me!

So here’s the situation. My wife’s name and social security number are on the Comcast account as the primary account…and I am trying to set this up from work. I have no information with me what so ever and I made a fool out of myself. Read on…

Problem : trying to find out what primary account user name is

Comcast Support > Thank you for contacting Comcast Live Chat Support. My name is Comcast Support. Please give me one moment to review your information.

Comcast Support > By the way, how do you do?

Me_ > great thank you (Please don’t ask me anything regarding the account…please…please)

Comcast Support > It is nice to know that you are doing great. You are welcome.

Comcast Support > Regarding your concern, I understand you would like to know what your Comcast primary user name is.

Comcast Support > No worries.

Comcast Support > I will be happy to assist you with that.

Me_ > Yes (omg…please…please…please)

Comcast Support > Before I am able to proceed, I must confirm your identity as the authorized account holder.

Comcast Support > May I have your full Comcast account number to verify your account, please?

Me_ > I apologize but I do not have that information with me at this time. Could you use anything else to verify? (Doh! I knew it! Here we go…)

Comcast Support > Oh, that is okay.

Comcast Support > For verfication purposes, may I have the last four digits of your social security number, please?

Me_ > Samantha is my wife and I am Jason which I use a secondary account for email (Ok, I am not who I say I am but can you still give me the info?)

Comcast Support > I am sorry, that did not match with our records.

Comcast Support > Oh, hi Jason. (Hi there. I’m an idiot.)

Me_ > would you mind holding while I contact her?

Comcast Support > Sure, I will be here.

Me_ > thank you (ring, ring, ring…ring…ring?)

Comcast Support > Please take your time.

Me_ > she is not answering her phone (As usual! Glad it wasn’t an emergency!)

Me_ > I apologize to have wasted your time (Screw it, throwing in the towel)

Comcast Support > Oh, no worries.

Comcast Support > Let us try another else, (Yes! Another chance!?)

Comcast Support > Can you please provide me the last exact amount you paid for your Comcast bill?

Me_ > I have no idea (omg…how am I supposed to know?!)

Comcast Support > Oh, we need the exact amount. Can you tell me the last pay per view you have ordered?

Me_ > I believe that it was Bride Wars, but I know the previous before that was Australia ( Took about 2 minutes to think of this. I only remembered because our 3yr old daughter ordered them for us with her quick little fingers)

Comcast Support > Yes, you got it!

Me_ > whew! (OMG, Its like winning the lotto! Whoo! Hoo!)

Comcast Support > Thank you for verifying your account.

Me_ > sorry about all that

Comcast Support > Your primary Comcast user name is: *****

Comcast Support > That is okay, no need to apologize

Me_ > perfect! thank you so much and I appreciate your patience with me (That account name was so easy and I cannot believe that couldn’t remember it)

Comcast Support > It certainly has been my pleasure assisting you.

Comcast Support > Have I addressed your concern or is there anything else that you want me to assist you with?

Me_ > That should be it for now (I don’t need anymore embarrassment for now, thanks)
