Skype Black Out

Many of you have been experiencing the connection issue with Skype over the past few days. Unless you are not digging around their website for answers, you wouldn’t know what is going on.

Here is some info that I discovered on what happened:

"This problem occurred because of a deficiency in an algorithm within
Skype networking software. This controls the interaction between the
user?s own Skype client and the rest of the Skype network
"

Here is the latest:

"An encouraging number of users can now use Skype once again. We know
we?re not out of the woods yet, but we are in better shape now than we
were yesterday.

Finally, we?d like to dispel a couple of theories that we are still
hearing. Neither Wednesday?s planned maintenance of our web-based
payment services nor any form of attack was related to the current
sign-on issues in any way.
"

More information can be found here on this page: http://heartbeat.skype.com/

It would be helpful if Skype put something on their homepage that when right to that info. In anger, I uninstalled Skype yesterday but then reinstalled after I calmed down a little.

During the writing of this article, my Skype finally connected…none of my contacts are online yet though.

EDIT: Right before publishing this article, Skype took another crap…WTF SKYPE?!
