Take a Meteor Shower

I thought that there was an usual amount of shooting stars last Saturday night. I counted a total of 6 within about 3 hours but I had no idea that we were supposed to be having a meteor shower…I just thought that it was my lucky night and was making wish after wish.

Supposedly, the meteor shower was supposed to reach its peak last night at about 1am…I was only seeing the beginning.

Here are some articles on the showers in case you missed out:

" Perseids meteor shower hits the Earth?s atmosphere tonight which
will be happening for several days and they peak almost always in
mid-August. The best time to catch the meteor showers is starting late
tonight and early Monday morning.

Other names for the meteor showers are shooting stars, or falling
stars. They really are not stars at all. The dirt and dust debris of
the meteors catch on fire as they enter the Earth?s atmosphere causing
the appearance as if a star was falling.

You can still see more on Monday night, but there will be less
meteor showers than tonight. Astronomers are predicting approxiametely
60 meteors an hour to fly into the sky during the peak of the shower.
