Zelda Has Been Saved

History was made last night when the credits started to roll. That's right, I beat The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess! For once in my life, I have accomplished something.

It all took about 58.5 hours to complete but some of those hours were from Big D and Bubba taking the controls…so no, I didn't waste that much time of my life. The game was started a little before Christmas so it lasted about 2 months. I know for sure that I got my money out of it.

Overall, the game was pretty damn good. The graphics and controls were decent and I personally think that if a game can keep hooked and coming back for more…its a good game. The only thing that I didn't like about the game was that it gave you the feeling of completion, but then it would turn around and draw out longer. For example, I remember sitting there and just saying to myself, "I beat it. I beat the game." But then all of a sudden…"WTF do you mean I now have to go to the castle?! I busted my ass for the mirror shards and now this?!".

I loved the The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess soundtrack. I know that sounds nerdy as hell to say, but it was cool. I must admit that it gave me goose bumps when I heard a touch of old school Zelda in there. I could picture the sparkling gold casing of the first Zelda for NES and the hours I spent on that game back in the day.

Not only did I enjoy it, but my 11 month old daughter took a liking to it as well. She loved the opening scene where Link and his horse put on a little show. Every time she saw this, I had to let her watch for a but and bounce up and down like she was riding a horse. She also showed good response to the horse call and Midna's little alerting giggle that came through the Wiimote. Because of this, the game also has some sentimental value as well so it will be difficult to put it up on Ebay.
